Our agency for Medical Staffing in Virginia would like to take the time to disseminate useful information regarding tests. There are a few things you need to know.

There are two kinds of tests available to Healthcare Professionals. According to the CDC and the FDA, tests can detect either the virus that causes COVID-19 or the antibodies that your body makes after getting COVID-19 or after getting vaccinated. The former is called Viral or Diagnostic Tests and the latter is called Antibody Tests. They can be performed in a laboratory, at a testing site, or home.

A viral test checks specimens from your nose or your mouth to find out if you are currently infected with the virus. Antibody tests detect antibodies in your blood. You should always discuss your test with your healthcare provider.

If you are an RN, LPN, CNA, or Medical Assistant working for Healthcare Staffing in Chesapeake, Virginia, then you are still encouraged to get tested. The CDC prescribes that the only people who do not need to be tested are those who have tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 3 months and recovered. This is as long as they do not develop new symptoms.

Our Healthcare Training and Consulting Services conduct either of these tests to screen our staff members and other Allied Health Professionals. You can be assured the Healthcare Staffing in Premier Healthcare Service is always prioritizing getting tested and being COVID-free. You can visit your healthcare or public health department clinic provider to get tested. For more information about our training and services, please contact us today.
